Abbeyleix Library Exhibition

The Abbeyleix Library Magically Overactive Imagination/Gemma Lalor Exhibition is all set up now and ready to view. It will be there for one week only from Saturday the 2nd of November to 11.00am Saturday the 9th of November.  Opening times for the library for the week are:

Saturday 10.00 am to 2.00 pm
Tuesday morning 9.30 am to 1.30pm afternoon 2.30 pm to 5.00 pm
Wednesday morning 9.30 am to 1.30pm afternoon 2.30 pm to 5.00 pm
Thursday morning 9.30 am to 1.30pm afternoon 2.30 pm to 7.30 pm
Friday morning 9.30 am to 1.30pm afternoon 2.30 pm to 5.00 pm
Saturday 10.00 am to 2.00 pm

Closed for lunch everyday from 1.30 pm to 2.30 pm

Exhibition Notice

Hello everybody. I am having an exhibition in Abbeyleix Library, Co Laois from this Saturday the 2nd of November from 11.30 to the following Saturday the 9th of November. Opening times are Saturday 10 am- 2 pm, Tuesday,Wednesday and Friday 9.30 am - 5.00 pm and Thursday is from 9.30 am to 7.30 pm the library is closed from 1.30 to 2.30 each day for lunch except Saturday. Hope ye can all make it and have a look. It will be inner around a 20 piece mixed media exhibition full of fun and magic and stuff dreams are made of. Not to be missed. 

Halloween Horror

Hello good world. I said i would show you my Halloween Costume that I wore out last night. It is based on my childhood fears and things I am still afraid of.  I was delighted when i won the 100 euro prize in The Square Bar Pub for the best costume.  I donated the money to the Cara Rescue Dogs as I have just adopted a dog from them and I am in amazement at the work they do with the animals so i think they were very worthy of the money. Anyway hopefully i will have some work to post soon and Happy Halloween. :D

The Tree of Dreams

I have just moved house so did not have much time to create this week but i have finally moved and got to sit down and let my mind run free. This is called The Tree of Dreams as it just came into my head before i fell asleep last night. I was bursting to draw it today hope ye like it.

Sleepy Slug

Howdy good people of the world. This sketch is called Sleepy Slug. It is a true expression of how i have been feeling this weekend. I have been so busy working in my normal job as well as working on pictures and trying to run as well that i have finally crashed.  I don't like to admit too often that i am human and eventually get worn down from over working so i feel like a sleepy slug but it is nothing a couch and a kettle won't sort out for me.  Ha Ha until next time hope ye take time to take some rest for yourselves. Night Glider

Hello world. I have been working like crazy on my 40 piece mixed media collection and i am only 1 away from it now. I know i don't be blogging as much because i have to keep the work under wraps for the exhibitions. But i will be doing charcoal sketches to keep ye entertained. This one is called Night Glider it is a figure who glides across the world spreading love at night. Hope ye like it.

Little Achill

I decided to draw my typewriter.  It sort of reminds me that i am better at drawing things than having to explain it as i always get tongue tied.  I often wish we lived in a society where you could draw your explanation rather than speak it.  I love this typewriter it reminds me of an old house i lived in for 1 year it has the same smell off it. My landlord lived beside me in a massive house and I lived in the tiny one beside him but he was so good to me and it was on of the happiest years of my life. I was very sad to see him die of cancer after that year, i had to move out.  Even though it was only 1 year of my life it has made the biggest impact so far and i was glad to have experienced it so that is why this picture is titled Little Achill.
